A major milestone has been achieved in Ghana's journey towards sustainable agriculture and agro-industrial transformation following a high-level engagement between Omanbapa AgriTech Ltd, Offinso North District Assembly, and GCB Bank PLC.

The meeting, held on Monday, 3rd August 2026, at the Conference Room of the Municipal Chief Executive, concluded with a significant commitment by the Offinso North District Assembly to earmark 25 acres of land for the proposed Agro-Organic Blending Plant to be developed by Omanbapa AgriTech Ltd and their international partners

The strategic meeting brought together officials from:

  • Omanbapa AgriTech Ltd
  • GCB Bank PLC (Ashanti & Bono Regions)
  • Offinso North District Assembly led by the Municipal Chief Executive
  •

A Strategic Investment in Ghana's Agricultural Future

The proposed Agro-Organic Blending Plant forms part of Omanbapa AgriTech's wider national programme to modernise agriculture through environmentally sustainable technologies and locally manufactured agricultural inputs.

Earlier this year, Omanbapa AgriTech entered into a collaborative arrangement with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) to drive an Agro-Organic Project aimed at improving agricultural productivity while protecting the environment.

According to the company's Letter of Intent, the project includes five major product and service lines:

  1. Bio-fertilisers (NexBooster and NexCompost)
  2. Bio-pesticides
  3. Bio soil enhancers
  4. AI-powered precision farming solutions
  5. Farm machinery trade and assembly

The Offinso North project is expected to become one of the flagship implementation sites for these innovations.

Why Offinso North?

Offinso North is recognised as one of Ghana's important agricultural production districts, with significant potential in food crop cultivation and agribusiness development.

The availability of suitable land, active farming communities and the Assembly's commitment to agricultural industrialisation make the district an ideal location for the proposed facility.

The planned blending plant is expected to:

  1. Improve access to high-quality organic agricultural inputs
  2. Reduce dependence on imported fertilisers and agrochemicals
  3. Create employment opportunities for local residents
  4. Support commercial agriculture and food security
  5. Encourage technology transfer and skills development
  6. Stimulate private sector investment within the district

Strong Public-Private Partnership

The participation of GCB Bank PLC underscores the importance of financing strategic agribusiness projects capable of delivering long-term economic value.

The collaboration between local government, the financial sector and the private sector reflects a shared commitment to accelerating agricultural transformation through sustainable investment.

The Road Ahead

Following the Assembly's commitment to allocate land, the next phase will include detailed technical assessments, site planning, engineering designs, environmental considerations and investment mobilisation before construction begins.

Omanbapa AgriTech expressed appreciation to the Offinso North District Assembly for its positive response and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering an agro-industrial project that will benefit farmers, create jobs and contribute to Ghana's food security agenda.

"This project represents more than an investment in infrastructure. it is an investment in Ghana's farmers, agricultural innovation and sustainable economic development."
